Mysterious

Any of these amazing images by Metehan Ozcan tell a story. Stories including words like secret riddle, unsolved problem, shrouded in obscurity and uncertainty. Maybe they are part of a mystery thriller, murder mystery, detective story or a plain crime novel. But that was just my mind running away with fancy words, because "Remote" is about "late-night cruisings of closeted gay personality through the city, examining how ordinary spaces became sexualized."

This will be my last post for the year as we are soon heading off to a lovely beach house (courtesy of our lovely friends) and my computer confessed he also needs a little break. See you all in the new year and with the new UYW Issue.
Wishing you all a very happy christmas and an exciting new year filled with plenty of adventures.

To the end of the fire

Recently I took these images with my iphone and was absolutely amazed. I only wish I would have taken them with my other camera so I could enlarge them.

Miles of pavement

I am drawn to "empty/lonely" places and Tim Carpenter's sublime series "Rehearsals for departure" capture that really well.

Enforced silence

I have made it back from our little holiday - which was absolutely magical. We had this amazing forest to our selves and I think I have finally managed to capture the Australian landscape. It has taken me a few years, but I guess better late then never...
But these are not my images, they are from Robin Friend's new series 'Belly of the Whale'. Make sure you have a look at his other great work as well.

Fun all around

How much fun are these gorgeous polaroids by Ieva Janson? I saw these first on Visual Notes a blog I have admired since the beginning of the year.

Classic details

Well I was just about to leave a little note saying sorry I am off on my holiday and will post again after I get back, but I have looked through my folders and found some great artists and could not resist... So while you read this, I will be off walking around the mountains, swimming in the lake, taking photos, reading a book or drinking a perfect Gin & Tonic.
I love galleries and Museums and when I was in Germany I was amazed you could take images inside them. These simple, but amazing images are by Beierle & Keijser. They have done a couple of great series's on the insides of Museums. Check it out.

Annual pilgrimage

I saved Eirik Johnson's images a couple of month ago, but only found them again today. I can't believe it took me this long to show them, as I am in love with the story and his gorgeous BW images > Snow Star.

Little helper

I guess we are all dreaming of having a little robot who can help us with our work. Thomas Jackson does. He looks like a loyal friend you could have fun with and take everywhere.

Elemental

November was pretty crazy and I am so excited that A. it is December and B. I am off on a little holiday in a week. These lovely images are from Cecilia Jauniau and appeal to me in their simplicity.
