Yesterday I received these great images by Tjorven Bruneel. About this series he says: "In an age where progress races by like bullet train, railway companies cannot stay behind. As with every wave of modernisation, heart-crushing demolitions happen. You will notice that I have little feeling for the complex machinery that enables or enabled railway travel throughout our little country, Belgium, they are merely part of the scene I cast light on. My focus is on the spectacle of corridors, service rooms and reallocated buildings. Photography here is in the service of the aesthetic archiving of the architectural legacy of the Nmbs-Holding."

Understanding the silence
I have fallen of the radar and probably will be in and out of touch until we have resolved our house dream. In the meantime I would like to share some astonishing, & remarkable images by Johan Bergström. "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." Ralph Waldo Emerson

Residences
I am currently obsessed with finding a house, so you can imagine how I adore these images "Wo fuchs und hase" by Felicitas Hollmig. The outside of these house are like blank faces and I wonder what we can expect to find inside. I am sad to say, but seeing that it is already the 20th of April - there wont be a UYW issue this month. It was a hard decision to make, but every spare minute is currently taken up by trying to find a house in the country to buy. But I promise... there will be a May issue.

'...and then you die.' is Alex Kisilevich series, which he sent over a while ago, but somehow got lost in the mail. I guess there are only so many tomorrows.

Hiding place
Found this great quote a while ago and now I found the perfect images by Lindsay Josal to go with it. "Hiding places there are innumerable, escape is only one, but possibilities of escape, again, are as many as hiding places." Franz Kafka.

So late
Apologies for the delay of UYW. This month I have a special treat for you, but with some delays of the surprise guest editor's submission and now my delay with finding time to put it together... well - running way behind. Driving through the country all weekend, is absolutely lovely, but looking for a house is rather stressful, so when I came upon Ed Panar's images I found them rather fitting to my own adventures.

Inner glow
I am glad I had some spare time last month to research new photographers, as I simply flat out at the moment. These stunning images are by Lauren Hewitt. Her images have that translucent glow that is rather revealing.

Waiting for the phone to ring
Last month I came upon Bryan Schutmaat and was instantly delighted by his images. It all started with this phone and from there a little story unfolded immediately in my head.

Dreaming
Last week we found out that our house went on the market to be sold, so instead of waiting to be kicked out - we went on a mission to find us a new home. For the last couple of years we have been thinking that it could be lovely to move to the country, so instead of eating way to many easter eggs we hunted for a new home in Castlemaine. This reminded me of the project I started last year, where I made a point of taking photos of all the houses I could not afford in the area where we currently live.
