A series title like "Home & away" alludes to traveling, adventures, new viewpoints and friends. Daniel Glazer seems to have been at the right place at the perfect time to capture these images.

At rest
These images are from Berkan Dirim's series "Gasilhane" - his final project for a photography workshop. This is the place where the dead bodies are washed before they are buried. Very peaceful and great colouring.

Reminisce
"That moment of physical passage sparked an avid curiosity in me to explore aspects of my lineage that existed outside my consciousness." It was this sentence from Ben Alper's website that made me decide to show his series "The family dig", instead of his polaroids.

Adding to the imagination
For the last many many years I have tried to exclude people from my images and it is only know that I start to get curious to add them again. I find these images by Allen Frame mysterious & delightful.
It is amazing how much tension and an invisible story line people can can add to an image - simply with them being there. They belong - they are part of that place and its history.

White beauty
I am absolutely in love with this amazing images from Scarlett Hooft Graafland. She says on her website: "The series ‘You Winter, let’s get divorced’ is made in northern Canada, Nunavut, in the Inuit settlement of Igloolik. I spent four months in the village and worked together with the local community to make my photographs. For example the work ‘Lemonade Igloo’, where I produced big blocks of frozen orange lemonade and asked traditional men to build an ice-igloo out of it." Ohh this just sounds like a perfect project.

When I stumbled upon Meghann Riepenhoff "Floating and Falling", it reminded me far away galaxies and planetary landscapes.

"Among" is Fabio Barile's documentary project concerning 1200 km of Italian coast subjected to a worrying amount of sea erosion due to over-development. Regional authorities have set up monitoring programmes with satellite imaging and other scientific methods in order to control the situation. His project concerns the beach in his home town where the sea road has been completely submerged. Starting with this fascinating location, he became increasingly interested in the phenomenon of erosion and its consequences on the marine system while working in parallel on the position of the limits between things like earth and sea and day and night.

How amazing are these BW images by Rodolfo Vanmarcke from Venezuela? It took me a while to get my head around them. I like a bit of magic....
