New UYW Issue online

So I am running a week behind, but here it is finally. For the first time I have put myself in it and I have to confess I found it rather challenging. I mentioned in one of my previous posts, that I have tried (for years) to photograph the Australian landscape, but it's only now I feel I've managed to capture it. When I went camping I had plenty of time to observe the colours of the trees and leaves throughout different times of the day. Sometimes the forest seemed transparent and to capture the beauty of the detail I had to focus on a small area. I've tried this with many different cameras but have been unable until now to replicate the effects I achieved with my 35mm and on film. I followed butterflies and altered the reading of the light to achieve these colours. Sometimes I believe if I could string together all the images I've taken I'd be able to take you on a journey through subtle hues of colour, landscapes and macro photography.

Over the last couple of months I've had the pleasure of working with some outstanding photographers who have taken me on adventures of their own - each month revealing new visions and new perspectives from across the world and its history.
